Windows Server 2008 gets an extra 2 years of life

Originally scheduled for the glue factory in 2013, Microsoft has extended the mainstream support life of Windows Server 2008 to January 13, 2015.  With the release of Windows Server 2012 and what is sure to be a slow uptake, Microsoft has tacked on the additional 2 years of support.
