Windows 8 gets an update to fix .NET Framework time-bomb issues

Having issues with Windows 8?  Not too many people are, well, except for the interface.  You can get a laugh about this in “When real people use Windows 8”.

No…the OS seems pretty solid.  Performance is good, and the shutdown and startup times are phenomenal.  In my testing, a couple year old Dell laptop boots in 12 seconds and shuts down in 8 seconds.

However, there are those who are not having the same experience.  If you are one of those, you might want to grab the latest update to the .NET Framework 4.5.  And, even if you aren’t experiencing these issues, you may want to download and apply the update anyway.  Its always good to be current, plus even if you are having success, there seems to be a sort of time-bomb embedded into the Consumer Preview.
