Windows 10’s Built-in Remote Connection App

Whether you are attempting to help a business user or a family member, sometimes there’s no better way than to see exactly what the remote person is seeing. And, what better way to do that than to connect remotely over the network/Internet?

Some use fancy tools to accomplish this – and most of those tools come with a hefty price. But, did you know that Windows 10 contains a free tool or this?

The tool is called Quick Assist and works by stepping both parties through connecting using a specially generated code.

To run Quick Assist…

To kick-off Quick Assist, choose to either “Get Assistance” or “Give Assistance”…

The executable for the Quick Assist is located at C:\Windows\System32\quickassist.cexe
