Windows 10 Says Goodbye to CB and CBB and Hello to SAB and SABC

In a Windows as a Service AMA on March 4, 2017, the question was posed about Microsoft moving away from Current Branch (CB) and Current Branch for Business (CBB) as the labels that help customers identify the latest official builds for Windows 10. Microsoft has used these terms and acronyms since Windows debuted in 2015.

Michael Niehaus confirmed that the company will be moving to new identifiers: Semi-Annual Branch (SAB) and the Semi-Annual Branch Channel (SABC).

The name change attempts to realign Windows 10 with the new model of big feature delivery twice a year in March and September.
