Windows 10 Fall Creators Update is scheduled to begin delivery on October 17th. On Monday, the Release to Manufacturing (RTM) version was delivered to Windows Insiders.
This version (version 16299.15) is intended to be the version that reaches the masses and will be the platform that Microsoft will continue building on and updating for the next couple years. This is also the version that hardware makers will receive to start pre-loading their PCs and devices.
Windows Insiders may still identify bugs in this build (and some already are). Microsoft may decide to fix those prior to October 17th, or deliver a day-zero patch which has become the norm.
