Windows 10 1809 Missed the October Cut-off, May Be Renamed to 1811 with November Patch Tuesday Rollout

A quick check of recently updated VM Host support may indicate that Microsoft is planning to deliver the fateful Windows 10 1809 during November’s Patch Tuesday – but also that it might possibly be renamed to 1811.

Microsoft has yet to announce any promised delivery date for the Feature Update that contained numerous bugs and quality problems. Many customers are waiting for an explanation and an apology for the lack of update quality. Microsoft has been suspiciously quiet about the whole ordeal and probably just wishes the problem will go away. At this rate, it’s possible that the company will simply release the next cumulative update and never mention 1809 again.

Many point to a leadership problem in both the Windows and Insiders groups. Leadership has treated the Insider program like a game. That game has real consequences for real customers.
