Wake on LAN Comes to Surface Devices

Microsoft recently uploaded SurfaceWOL.msi to the Surface Tools for IT download page.

Using this new package, Surface customers can enable Wake on LAN (WOL) from Connected Standby. The devices must have Windows 10 Anniversary Edition or newer installed and have a wired connection.

NOTE: Installing this package will replace the driver included with Windows 10 for Surface wired Ethernet adapters, including the Surface Ethernet Adapter, Surface Dock, and Surface Pro 3 Docking Station or Surface 3 Docking Station.
