Microsoft delivered a special PowerShell script that can be run against PCs and servers to identify those systems that are both protected and unprotected against the Meltdown and Spectre processor vulnerabilities. However, the results from running the script can be cryptic and for a lot of people, the output means very little.
Microsoft has not published a guide to understanding what the output indicates: Understanding the output of the Get-SpeculationControlSettings PowerShell script
The guide includes links to the PowerShell script, instructions on how to install and run it, and also provides guidance on what to do with the results.
