Amazon has added the ability for Alexa calls and drop-ins to be registered in the Recent calls lists for smartphones. This gives Alexa customers the ability to more quickly connect with those devices or contacts that are most commonly used.
So, instead of jumping straightaway into the Alexa mobile app and sifting through devices and contacts which can take some time, just drop into the recent calls list of the smartphone.

It also shows when the call/drop-in was made and how many times it was requested. You can even initiate a new connection with the contact or device from here. The Alexa mobile app is still required to open to make the new drop-in or call, but this gives you the ability to get there quicker, at least.
