Microsoft Delivers Windows Analytics: Update Compliance to Public Preview

Microsoft Adding 3rd Party Malware Providers to OMS Security Malware Assessment

OMS Security is adding support for Symantec Endpoint Protection and Trend Micro Deep Security to its Antimalware assessment solution. This service update adds support for assessing whether servers are protected by anti-malware solutions from these vendors and whether these solutions are operational. The OMS Antimalware dashboard now reflects this new feature. OMS Gateway Now Generally Available

The OMS Gateway is a proxy server that sends data from services with no internet connectivity to OMS. Download: OMS Gateway (GA) The OMS Gateway enables customers send data to a central server which has internet access. It is a HTTP forward proxy that supports HTTP tunneling via the HTTP CONNECT command. The Gateway can handle up to 1000 OMS concurrent connected devices, if run on a 4 core CPU, 8 GB Windows Server with a 1Gbps network connection. Public Preview Available for Microsoft Azure SQL Database Management Pack

Microsoft has released the Azure SQL Database Management Pack (6.7.11.0) into public preview in hopes that customers will install, test, and provide direct feedback. OMS Security Advanced Detections Expands to All European Workspaces

Today Microsoft is announcing… …the biggest expansion yet of the service to cover all our European customers. The OMS Security advanced detections will automatically be enabled for all OMS Security customers who have workspaces in Europe. For these customers, the detection analysis will run in European datacenters. Microsoft OMS Now Requires an Azure Subscription

Microsoft has been putting a lot of effort into its Operations Management Suite (OMS) since it delivered demos to the press at Ignite 2015. Over the course of the last year the company has developed new dashboards that help expose new functional process and services that literally tie on-premises and the Microsoft cloud together. With the release of System Center 2016 this week at Ignite 2016, it’s even more clear that OMS is the cornerstone of the entire suite. As such, Microsoft seems ready to make some money off of it.
