Microsoft Changes MVP Operation to a Monthly Award

Seems like a lot of additional work for the folks at MSFT, but instead of quarterly awards, the company will now issue awards monthly. Per Microsoft: Beginning today, we are going to recognize new MVPs every single month. We want great people to join the program as fast as possible! At the same time, to simplify our re-award process, we are going annual. Just one re-award cycle per year. Every July 1st all renewals will happen with one unified celebration when we recognize all our renewing MVPs. New Resources Added to the Microsoft MVP Program

Earlier, we told you about the new “MVP Reconnect” program that gives former MVPs the opportunity to stay connected to peers and product leaders. Microsoft is also adding additional resources to drive excitement and help evolve a program that has become stagnate over the past few years. Microsoft’s MVP Reconnect Program for Former MVPs

Microsoft has created a program for former MVPs to stay connected with peers and product leaders. The program is called MVP Reconnect. The program is open to all former MVPs, regardless of technical expertise or award category, with a minimum of 1 full MVP Award year. Members must be in good standing, meaning that they must have no Code of Conduct or NDA violations. Where after Windows 10? Computer Weekly 500 Club event.

Last week I had the pleasure to present at the Computer Weekly 500 Club. An event for IT leaders that, every month, talks about a different subject about modern challenges faced by organizations. I was invited as one of the three speakers for the night along with Ian Turfrey, IT Director at City & Guilds and Andy Beale, Director of Common Technology Services for GDS. The topic of the month was the future of desktop and technology in general after Windows 10 is released. Conversations were very diverse and the round table discussed very interesting topics proposed by the audience. Great news! I’ve been awarded as Microsoft MVP for the 6th time. It is a great honour to accomplish that. 2014 was a very challenging year, with the loss of my dear mother and a lot of good hard work going unnoticed.
