In an August 2012 report, Gartner listed those company’s solutions they think will have the biggest impact for IT Service Support Management Tools. Microsoft System Center Service Manager (SCSM) is nowhere to be found – and I don’t doubt Gartner’s findings. SCSM has a ways to go to become more than just a framework. It’ll take some serious effort from partners, like Cireson for example, to fill in the SCSM gaps. Let’s give it a year and circle back to see if a certain Redmond company can make inroads into the Gartner thought stream.
