If software updates are not downloading, check for an Error 12007 in the ruleengine.log file. This error message indicates that the account used for connecting to the Internet and syncing available updates does not have appropriate rights.
The Local System account on the server is used to connect to the Internet and download software updates. When this account doesn’t have proper access to the Internet, software updates will fail to download. This can happen sometimes due to various reasons, but most likely due to an over-aggressive security team.
Reconfigure the Local System account credentials with proper access, or at least configure it to connect to the proxy server.
