Running the Chrome Browser as a Citrix Virtual Application

From the myITforum TipLine:

If you need to run Chrome in a virtual instance, you need to be aware of the following

To use Chrome on Citrix XenApp, you’ll need:

  • Citrix XenApp 6.5 or later
  • Microsoft Windows Server 2008 R2 or later

With Chrome 58 and later, Chrome automatically detects if it’s running in a remote desktop environment and adjusts its settings accordingly. If you’re using Chrome 57 or earlier, first you must change the Chrome settings in the Citrix AppCenter Console.

If you have Citrix XenApp 6.5, you’ll need to disable the Citrix API hooks for Chrome. See: Disable Citrix API hooks for Chrome
