As has become pretty standard fare these day, Microsoft is today delivering new updates for Windows 10 versions to resolve issues introduced by patches earlier in the month and anything else found since the first second Tuesday of the month.
Here’s the versions of Windows 10 getting updates today:
Windows 10 version 1803 – July 24, 2018—KB4340917 (OS Build 17134.191)
Windows 10 version 1709 – July 24, 2018—KB4338817 (OS Build 16299.579)
Windows 10 version 1703 – July 24, 2018—KB4338827 (OS Build 15063.1235)
Fortunately, since Microsoft has begun including earlier fixes with the new fixes, this gives those companies that chose not to patch earlier in the month the opportunity to get a better patch. For a lot of companies, the second monthly cumulative update is becoming the goto update once its reported that Microsoft has, indeed, resolve earlier problems.
There’s a LOT of fixes included in today’s releases. However, the .NET patch issues that cause Microsoft to recall it, are ongoing. Microsoft is still working on a fix for that.
