Microsoft Still Working on Power State Fixes for Surface Pro 3

Power and power states continue to plague Microsoft’s Surface devices. The company has been working to perfect the technology since the Surface Pro 3 released and the issues carried over in the Surface Book and Surface Pro 4 series devices.

Another new firmware update has been released for the Surface Pro 3, and again this update includes a driver to improve system stability and performance when you change between power states.

The driver:

  • Surface Pro Embedded Controller Firmware (38.12.70.0) improves system stability and performance when you change between power states

The update is available from the Surface Pro 3 Drivers and Firmware Page.
