Microsoft Seeks to Make Windows 10 Privacy More Transparent in Creators Update

Microsoft’s Terry Myerson today has revealed a couple new technologies the company is delivering to help allay customer fears about Windows 10’s collection of personal information and data.

Today Microsoft is launching a new web-based privacy dashboard to allow customers to review and clear data such as browsing history, search history, location activity, and Cortana’s Notebook – all in one place. (https://account.microsoft.com/privacy).

Additionally, as part of the Creators Update to Windows 10 that will deliver in April 2017, updated data collection policies will be put into practice, including better options for customers to customize the data that is collected and delivered to Microsoft.
