Microsoft Provides Fix for GPEdit Errors After Installing Windows 10 April 2018 Update (1803)

Some customers have begun complaining of errors when running the Group Policy editor (gpedit.msc) after installing Microsoft’s latest Windows 10 feature update (version 1803).

According to KB4292332, the problem stems from a line inadvertently being left out of the SearchOCR.adml file.

Microsoft has provided a workaround that involves copying a good \path\PolicyDefinitions\en-US\SearchOCR.adml file from a 1511 system and then inserting the following to line 26:
