One of the required boot files on Surface Pro 3 devices ending up in a corrupted state after an abnormal shutdown.
The company has now provided a workaround in the following thread: Build 16288.1 – Recover a “Won’t Boot” Surface Pro 3 Device
Essentially, the workaround requires a bootable USB stick to get the Surface Pro 3 completely booted, then a patch needs to be downloaded and applied.
