Microsoft’s recent acquisition of GitHub has the developer tools teams at the company looking at what might be next for its customers.
Part of the future of value, the company believes that making the developer more productive is key, but also believes more and better refactorings, better navigation, more capabilities in the debugger, faster solution load, and faster builds are important.
In a blog post today that seems more like someone just thinking out loud than providing coherent information, and without going into hard dates for making builds available, or even about when the company plans a full public release, Microsoft believes the next step is Visual Studio 2019.
