Microsoft Brings Back Storage Spaces Direct in Windows Server 17035

When Microsoft launched Windows Server 1709 many customers were consternated by the disabling of Storage Spaces Direct. Microsoft promised to bring it back when it was ready, but it was still regarded a strange move considering the company had stated it was pinning the future of its hyper-converged systems on it.

Fast forward to this week, and Microsoft has now brought Storage Spaces Direct back in Windows Server preview build 17035 that’s now available for Windows Insiders.
