Microsoft Announces Visual Studio for the Mac, Then Yanks the Announcement

Earlier today, Microsoft’s MSDN site hosted an announcement that the company will be announcing a Visual Studio for the Mac preview at the Microsoft’s Connect(); conference later this week. A short time later the page was removed.

Why the company decided to remove the blog post announcement is unknown. As in the past when this has happened, its possible that someone just pulled the posting trigger a bit too soon.

Connect(); 2016 runs November 16-18 and can be live-streamed from this link: https://connectevent.microsoft.com/

The event is led by Executive Vice President Scott Guthrie, Principal Program Manager Scott Hanselman, and other industry innovators.
