Microsoft delivered a surprise cumulative update for Windows 10 1809 on March 1st. The update delivered a slew of supposed fixes, but customers discovered almost immediately that the update caused severe graphics and mouse performance problems when playing specific games.
Microsoft has now updated Windows 10 1809’s history page to reflect the admission that, yes, there are performance problems.
After installing KB4482887, users may notice graphics and mouse performance degradation with desktop gaming when playing certain games (eg: Destiny 2).
The company may not provide a quick update but may wait until the next scheduled cumulative update release.
However, a short term resolution provided by the company, says to uninstall the update if the problem becomes an annoyance.
As a short-term resolution, users can uninstall KB4482887 to regain performance.
