Making, Answering, Ignoring, and Ending Calls with Alexa Devices

Amazon has rolled out voice calling to Amazon devices and those using the Amazon Alexa app, allowing Alexa owners to connect directly.

Here’s a few tips on how to use this feature…

Making a Call

Say… “Alexa, call [contact name].”  Once you confirm the name, Alexa begins the call.

Answering Calls

When you get a call, the light rings of all your supported Echo devices turn green, and Alexa says who’s calling. You can answer the call by saying, “Answer.”

Ignoring Calls

If you don’t want to answer the call, you can say, “Ignore” to stop the incoming call

Hanging Up

When you want to end your current call, you can say, “Hang up.”
