Microsoft today has announce the acquisition of Maluuba, a Montreal-based company with one of the world’s most impressive deep learning research labs for natural language understanding.
The AI world is definitely heating up, already surpassing VR/AR as the true platform of the future. Amazon’s Alexa made big waves at CES as many companies exhibited some level of Alexa integration in their products and services. Microsoft’s acquisition of Maluuba may help the company keep within reach of Amazon’s accelerate path to lead the voice-assisted AI industry.
