Last week we told you about a couple issues where after installing the Cumulative Update for Windows 10 1607, the update history would be wiped out and restore points deleted.
Now, the Known Issues section of the August 8, 2017—KB4034658 (OS Build 14393.1593) page has not only been updated to reflect those issues, but a couple more have now been added. The Knowns Issues information section contains issues that have been reported that Microsoft has confirmed and is investigating.
Here’s the list of current issues…
- “Update History” does not list previously installed updates. – As an alternative, to see which quality updates have been applied, navigate to the inventory by going to Control Panel -> Programs -> “View Installed Updates”
- Updates that were previously hidden may be offered after installing this update. Updates that were previously hidden can be hidden again.
- WSUS servers will exhibit increased CPU, memory, and network utilization when Windows Update clients perform their first scan after installing KB4034658.
