A rather innocuous looking update delivered on Patch Tuesday this month is simply called: KB4163920: Reliability improvement in the Kernel
When you read the KB article, it also reads like a pageless book. It’s short and sweet and says absolutely nothing.
However, according to sources, if you have laptops running Windows 10 1709 in your organization that are regularly docked and undocked, this update makes the experience flawless and more trustworthy.
It does have one prerequisite, though, which is: KB4093105 that was released on April 23, 2018.
