KAYAK Adds Hotel Booking to Its Alexa Skill

Last year, KAYAK delivered its first iteration of an Alexa skill. The original release could help customers search for flights, hotels, and rental cars.

A new update to the skill now brings hotel bookings!

KAYAK hotel bookings are run through its sister companies (Booking.com and Priceline.com) and Alexa returns an actual bookable option that you need to confirm.

Say something like: “Alexa, ask KAYAK to book me a hotel room in Boston.”

Echo Show support is coming soon, but the skill also has some additional functionality, such as:

“Alexa, ask KAYAK, when is my next trip?”
“Alexa, ask KAYAK, when is my next flight?”
Search by flight cabin class: “Alexa, ask KAYAK how much is a business class ticket to…”
Set up a Price Alert to track flight prices “Alexa, ask KAYAK how much is a flight to Miami next week” and Alexa will respond asking if you’d like to create a Price Alert

Where to get it: You can locate the KAYAK Skill in the Amazon Alexa app, enable it using your voice, or use the following web link: KAYAK

Alexa is available for Amazon devices Echo, Dot, Tap, Echo Show, Echo Look, Dash Wand, Fire tablets, and Fire TV, but also on iOS, Android, and the web with Reverb.ai.
