Intel Hit with Another Severe and Easy to Exploit Security Problem

The year isn’t going too well for Intel. First, the company has been hit with reported vulnerabilities that affect every known device running its processors. The fix for this slows down computers, smartphones, and other devices.

Now, another severe vulnerability has been discovered and reported in the company’s Active Management Technology (AMT )software that is built into device firmware.

According to the report from security firm, F-Secure, The issue allows a local intruder to backdoor almost any corporate laptop in a matter of seconds, even if the BIOS password, TPM Pin, Bitlocker and login credentials are in place.
