After installing Windows 10 April 2018 Update, some PC users are finding that they have more drive letters listed in Explorer than before the update.
Microsoft has now admitted to the problem and has offered a workaround. Microsoft states that users can just ignore the new partitions and they will hopefully go away when the company releases a future update to resolve the problem.
The workaround involves running the diskpart command – which for some users is probably akin to sticking their hand down a rattlesnake’s throat just to stop the rattle noise. So, its probably not recommended for anyone other than an IT Pro.
