The latest Garmin Connect app update includes some much needed bug fixes and some new features (photo sharing and better insights), but one of the more interesting fixes that I sort of stumbled on is that the app now works when connecting Garmin to the Office 365 calendar.
When you go to Settings – 3rd Party Apps you’ll see the Microsoft Office 365 option among the others (Apple Health for iOS, MyFitnessPal, and Strava). But, before the update, the connection wouldn’t work. Now, when you try it will allow you to login to your Microsoft Office 365 account and then link your accounts so you can synch activities, workouts, and group events to your calendar to be reminded.
However, you’ll want to adjust the settings and possibly not include activities and workouts. Why? Well, because right now it sets a reminder on each activity and workout and you’ll be reminded even of past events. This is particularly painful the first time you set it up and sync. I had hundreds of reminders waiting for me after the first sync.
