Fix it before you try it: Using the right version of SQL with ConfigMgr 2012

Per a Michael Niehaus post, you can minimize your issues with CM2012 RTM installations just by using the *correct* version of SQL Server.

Per Michael:

If you are running SQL 2008 SP2, install CU9 from  If you are running SQL 2008 SP3, install CU4 from  If you are running SQL Server 2008 R2 SP1, use CU6 from  If you aren’t yet on the needed service pack levels, upgrade now, then install the cumulative updates 🙂
