A problem running the Microsoft Management Console from a remote, network share appeared after updates in November 2016. At the time, Microsoft provided a couple workarounds but no promise as to when a fix would become available.
- Mapping the drive to the direct UNC path rather than using DFSN
- Using Group Policy to deploy network drive mappings, instead of a login script.
According to a thread in the Microsoft Answers forums, a fix should be made available in February 2017.
