Fix for No Mouse Cursor During ConfigMgr OSD Task Sequence

This issue has plagued ConfigMgr administrators and frustrated Windows 10 deployment specialists for a while – and the fix is finally in.

The problem stems from an issue where during a Task Sequence to deploy Windows 10, the mouse cursor disappears – only to show up once the Task Sequence ends.

Microsoft has supplied the fix in the form of a registry modification…

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System

Value Name: EnableCursorSuppression

Type: REG_DWORD

Values:
1 = Enabled – Mouse cursor is suppressed (default)
0 = Disabled – Mouse cursor is not suppressed
