First Echo Show Compatible Security Camera System Shipping

With Amazon’s Echo Show shipping starting June 28, 2017, many new compatible devices should also start becoming available. One of the more interesting examples of Show’s capabilities exhibited during the launch announcement was the ability to pan through the home’s security cameras.

Netgear has announced that its Arlo Pro Security System will be Alexa-capable for the Echo Show and could be the only whole-house security system to be available when the Show starts shipping.

Some brief specs:

  • 100% Wire-free – Free of power cords and wiring hassles, allowing you to easily place Arlo Pro cameras wherever you want and monitor your home from every angle.
  • Weatherproof – Arlo Pro cameras are weatherproof so you can place them anywhere-indoors and out.
  • Rechargeable Batteries – Arlo Pro cameras include rechargeable batteries that support fast charging. Easily swap out batteries and power up in seconds without having your cameras offline.
  • 2-Way Audio – Built-in mic and speaker enable push-to-talk capability, so you can listen in and talk back.
  • 7 Days of Free Cloud Recordings – Arlo Pro comes with recurring 7-day free cloud recordings. Live stream or view recorded video and audio for up to 7 days, free of charge.
