Fire TV Can Now Use Alexa to View Your Smart Home Camera Feeds

Amazon has been promising new capabilities for turn Fire TV devices into (essentially) Echo Show devices.

That update is now available. Now, you can use Alexa voice commands to ask the Fire TV device to show your security camera feeds on your large TV screen.

When you connect a compatible smart home camera to Alexa, you can use your voice to access the live camera feed on supported Fire TV devices and Echo Show.

Commands available…

Show your camera feed

“Show [camera name].”
“Show the [camera name] camera.”

Hide your camera feed

“Hide [camera name].”
“Stop the [camera name] camera.”
“Go home.”

Amazon has posted the full description in its online Help documentation: Use Smart Home Cameras with Alexa
