Windows 10

FAQ: Why is the Windows 10 Creators Update Available for Windows Server 2016?

The quick answer is ‘No.’ The longer answer is that Windows Server 2016 contains a lot of similar code to Windows 10, in that when the Windows 10 Creators Update becomes available for that particular server (if its connected to Windows Update for updates), the Windows 10 Creators Update upgrade notice will appear. At the same time, rest assured that you’re protected against your Windows Server 2016 server upgrading to Windows 10 Creators Update.

Per Microsoft…

Although the Windows Creators Update Setup program can be started on Windows Server 2016, the installation will fail because the update does not apply to Windows Server 2016.
