A new option is now available in Cortana’s “Notebook” on Windows 10 devices that allows Microsoft customers to connect their PCs and devices to their Smart Home devices.
To locate this feature, open Cortana, go to the Notebook and select Connected Home. Here you can turn on the functionality and choose between the few Smart Home services.
The only options available right now are Hue, SmartThings, Nest, Insteon and Wink but more should be on the way. And, as the integration between Alexa and Cortana solidifies shortly after Windows 10 Fall Creators Update starts delivering on October 17, Cortana may quickly get up to speed.
