PowerShell

Celebrate PowerShell’s 10th Birthday on November 14th

In the event you’re looking for a bit of trivia to “wow” your friends and colleagues, PowerShell was born on November 14th, 2006, which means in just a couple weeks, PowerShell will be 10 years old.

Microsoft is planning an onsite celebration but has developed ways for everyone to participate.

A day-long celebration on campus will run from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm (PST) and will be streaming live and shown world-wide on the home page for Channel9.msdn.com.  Jeffrey Snover (the inventor of PowerShell) and Kenneth Hansen will be leading the ceremony and there will be opportunities to hear about PowerShell and SQL, PowerShell and Azure Automation, and the future directions for PowerShell. Additionally, Microsoft is planning some fun stuff with PowerShell, including how to use PowerShell to set up a Minecraft server or how to manage a Tesla.

To join in hit up the Channel9 home page (http://channel9.msdn.com) on November 14th.

Folks that attended IT/Dev Connections 2016 can get deep dives through session replays just prior to PowerShell’s 10th birthday.
