With Windows 10 Creators Update Microsoft is pushing 3D modeling. The effort is to bring more attention to its augmented reality development efforts in HoloLens.
The original maker of Live Interior 3D, which debuted in the Windows store as the first home design app for Windows 10, has now delivered a more evolved version called Live Home 3D:
Evolved from Live Interior 3D, the new Live Home 3D is advanced home and interior design software. Ever wished to design the house of your dreams on your Windows 10 device? Live Home 3D can deliver! This interior design software can assist both homeowners planning some home renovations and interior design professionals visualizing their projects.
I’ve had a little time with the app already and am impressed with the number for features and ease of use for mouse, pen, and touch. I’ll be working with the app and should be able to deliver a formal review soon. One of the more interesting features is the ability to have a 3D walkthrough of your creation – even if you created the floorplan in 2D.
There’s two versions of Live Home 3D. There’s a Standard version ($9.99) and a Pro version ($19.99). The difference between the two is that Live Home 3D Pro includes more tools and output options for home design including 2D Elevation View (Walls, Panels, Niches Editing), Additional Tools (Building Block, Custom Roof), Light Editor, and Export to *.3ds format.
