ASUS Adds Alexa Voice Commands to Its Routers

Linksys provided this function a while back, but now ASUS is on board with adding Alexa voice command functionality to its routers.  So far, the skill is limited somewhat in ability, but more capability should be on the way.

Now with ASUS router and Alexa you can control and use WiFi with your voice throughout your home. With ASUS Router’s Alexa skill, you can pause the Wi-Fi for dinner, or turn on the guest network on your ASUS Router at party time — with a simple voice command. To get started, enable this skill and link your ASUS Router. To link your ASUS Router with Alexa, enter activation PIN you find in your ASUS router. Once your ASUS Router is linked with Alexa, you can control your ASUS router with simple voice command.

Where to get it: You can locate ASUS Router Skill in the Amazon Alexa app, enable it using your voice, or use the following web link: ASUS Router

Alexa is available for Amazon devices Echo, Dot, Tap, Echo Show, Echo Look, Fire tablets, and Fire TV, but also on iOS, Android, and the web with Reverb.ai.
