Microsoft recently delivered an update for Office products that have left many scratching their heads. After the update is installed, users are prompted to accept a new End User License Agreement. If the user doesn’t accept the license agreement, Office will stop working.
Microsoft has now admitted its latest patch offering failure, and provided the following workaround:
In the meantime, if you receive a pop-up regarding the End User Licensing Agreement (EULA), clicking Accept should enable access to Office. Dismissing the pop-up may result in Office closing.
It seems simple, but Microsoft’s patching rarely is.
