Since its announcement of a stack of new Alexa toys a couple weeks ago, Amazon has been on a new feature deployment binge.
Today the company is beginning to roll out a much-requested feature of allowing customers to create their own custom lists. Prior to this update, customers could only opt to add items to a Shopping list or a Todo list. Using this new function, customers can create new lists and simply ask Alexa to add items to them.
For example you can say…
“Alexa, create a list” – Alexa will ask you for the name of the list you want to create.
“Alexa, add <item> to <name> list” – Alexa will add the named item to your custom list.
This feature allows families to create and share lists.
