Amazon Prime Music and Music Unlimited Subscribers Get 500 New Alexa Commands

If you’re a subscriber to Amazon Prime Music or Music Unlimited and own an Alexa device, you’ll be happy to hear that Amazon today is delivering additional capability.

Rolling out today, customers will now be able to ask Alexa for music based on activities. The feature rollout is based on recent testing and includes over 500 request activities – including some very interesting ones. Prior to this update, customers could ask for specific songs, artists, and albums, but now Alexa can deliver on more intricate requests such as…

  • Meditation
  • Working out
  • Falling asleep
  • Getting pumped
  • Hooking up
  • Making babies

This is just a short list of the full 500. You can say complex things like: “Alexa, play disco music for working out”

Alexa is available for Amazon devices Echo, Dot, Tap, Echo Show, Echo Look, Dash Wand, Fire tablets, and Fire TV, Amazon Fire TV Edition TVs, but also on iOS, Android, and the web with Reverb.ai.
