Amazon has been on the trek for many years, using each evolution of its devices to try to perfect the eReading experience. Its reading devices have always paid special attention to size, weight, and the ability to read in direct sunlight. Now, the company has released its newest iteration and this version pays special attention to some of the pitfalls of reading books, both paper and electronic.
The new Kindle Oasis not only incorporates all the goodness of past devices, but is now also waterproof (for those who like to read in the bath or at the beach) and has built-in audio capability for those who would prefer to just listen to Audible books sometimes.
The new features come at a cost, though. The new Kindle Oasis is also Amazon’s most expensive eReading device. It comes in at a hefty $250.
