Amazon Makes Developing for Lists Easier for Alexa

Amazon has announced new Lists capabilities for Alexa development. The company has now added Lists Read and Write Permissions to the Skills kit and its available worldwide for US English, UK English, and German language models.

Lists Read permissions allows read-only access to any of the customer’s Alexa lists so that your skill can read shopping or to-do list items on command. With the new Lists Write permissions, customers can add and remove items from their Alexa lists using your skill.

Amazon is planning to expand on these functions later this year, too, giving Alexa the ability to understand when things are removed from lists.
