Alexa Tip: Turn Alexa into a Night Light

There are useful skills and then there are skills that you find useful. A recent skill takes Alexa capability in a different direction. Instead of responding with the spoken word like a normal skill, Alexa responds simply through light pulses that light your path down a darkened hallway or across a pitch black room. And, the light level emitted is low enough to not bother anyone else.

The light will display until you tell it to stop, or you can evoke the skill with a timer if you want, too. Tell Alexa to “open Night Light for 5 minutes.”

Where to get it: You can locate the Night Light in the Amazon Alexa app, enable it using your voice, or use the following web link: Night Light
