Alexa Tip: Smoother Wake-up

Alexa Tip: Smoother Wake-up

You might be one of those people who vault from the bed when the alarm goes off – and if you are, that’s OK. However, I think the majority of people would rather be slowly brought to wakefulness.

A feature in the Alexa mobile app and on the web allows you to set general sound volume levels, but then configure the Alarm sound so that crescendos, allowing you to wake up on more of your own terms instead of being trumpeted awake.

This has to be set per device and is not a device-wide setting.

  1. Go into Settings and then locate the specific device to access it.
  2. Access the Sounds area and then toggle the “Alarm volume gradually increases to your level” button.
