Alexa Tip: Fix for When Echo Stops “Hearing” You

Recently there have been reports of Alexa devices either not hearing the wake word as well, or hearing it but not completing actions from commands.

Apparently, this can be a result if you have Enabled the Wake Sound.  Turn it off and try again.

It sort of makes sense considering that enabling the wake sound means a few milliseconds more are added before Alexa becomes responsive. This is being reported more frequently, so be sure that Amazon is working on a fix.
