One of the more common issues Alexa devices customers are reporting after testing the new Audio Groups feature, is that speakers connected to Alexa devices via Bluetooth aren’t working.
Amazon has now provided guidance on this:
External speakers connected via Bluetooth and the Alexa Voice Remote for Echo do not currently work during Multi-Room Music playback. Once you stop playing music through your group, your Bluetooth speakers and/or remote will work with the paired Echo device once again, like usual.
You can listen through external speakers, as long as they’re linked to your Echo device(s) using a wired connection.
